When the new owner starts up the Mac, they can use their own information to complete the setup process. If you’re selling, trading in or giving away your Mac, close the setup assistant without completing the setup process, then click Shut Down. When installation has completed, your Mac may start up to a setup assistant.Your Mac may restart and show a progress bar several times, and the screen may be empty for minutes at a time. Allow installation to complete without putting your Mac to sleep or closing its lid.If the installer can't see your disk, or it says that it can't install on your computer or volume, you may need to erase your disk first.If the installer offers the choice between installing on Macintosh HD or Macintosh HD – Data, choose Macintosh HD.If the installer asks to unlock your disk, enter the password that you use to log in to your Mac.Open a finder window, go to Applications and find. Now to install the beta or alternative version of the Mac operating system on your external drive. Click Continue, then follow the onscreen instructions. Step 3: Install macOS on the external drive.When you see a window with the option to reinstall macOS, this means your Mac has started up from Recovery. Then click Next and enter that user’s administrator password, which is the password they use to log in to the Mac. The command will then start fetching the relevant source code files to extract, compile, and then install the Ruby 3.1.2 runtime version available to your shell. Immediately after releasing the power button, press and hold one of these key combinations.Press and release the power button to turn on your Mac.Unfortunately, some of the cool macOS Monterey features, such as Universal Control and SharePlay, aren't ready for launch, so you'll have to wait until a future version of Monterey arrives to try those out.If you're not using a Mac with Apple silicon, you're using an Intel-based Mac.
